Product Description

Weathershield Smooth Masonry Paint is a high-quality decorative coating for exterior walls. It is formulated for professional use; being easy to apply and has excellent opacity. The 2021 formulation includes a new and improved active ingredient to inhibit the growth of mould & algae within the paint film and helps it stay cleaner for longer. The addition of Anti-fade technology delivers longer lasting colour.

Application Description

Brush, roller, airless spray,conventional spray. STIR THOROUGHLY BEFORE USE. Seal all new or bare surfaces with a thinned coat of Weathershield Smooth Masonry Paint (up to 1 part clean water to 5 parts paint). The normal finishing process is 2 full coats of Weathershield Smooth Masonry Paint, but on previously painted surfaces in good condition, where similar colours are used, 1 coat may be sufficient. In normal conditions two coats of Weathershield Smooth Masonry Paint properly applied to the substrate in accordance with the instructions will perform satisfactorily for up to 15 years giving good colour stability (as part of BBA certificate 97/3383).

Harmful to aquatic life with long lasting effects. Contains: 1,2-Benzisothiazol-3(2H)-one, C(M)IT/MIT(3:1), 2-octyl-2H-isothiazol-3-one. May produce an allergic reaction. This paint contains a biocidal product for the preservation of the dry film. Contains: Terbutryn (CAS 886-50-0), OIT (CAS 26530-20-1), Zinc pyrithione (CAS 13463-41-7).

  • 2. Cleaning
    Cleaning After Final Use- Cleaning your brushes and rollers immediately after their final use ensures they can be reused for multiple projects, saving you money and reducing waste. ​ Cleaning-​ 1. Remove Excess Paint- Scrape off excess paint into container for future projects.​ 2. Use Paint Thinner- Use a paint thinner to clean brushes and rollers.​ 3. Reuse Paint Thinner- Allow the paint solids to settle and reuse the thinner by pouring the clear liquid into another container.​ Responsible Disposal- Dispose of the remaining solids and used thinner at a hazardous waste facility. Do not pour any solvent-based paint, paint thinner or wash water down the drain or onto the ground.​ Do not flush paint down the drain, including when cleaning painting tools
  • 3. Storing
    1. Reuse, Recycle, or Donate- Whenever possible reuse, recycle, or donate leftover paint. Find local services at mywaste.ie or consider advertising the paint locally. Many good causes often need paint, and a little can go a long way in brightening up community spaces!​ 2. Dispose Responsibly- Never pour paint or wastewater down drains or sinks. Dispose of them responsibly. Follow the instructions at my waste.ie to recycle empty packs ​ 3. Reuse Roller Cages- Roller cages can be reused. Simply remove the sleeve and store the cage in a dry, dust-free place.​ 4. Dispose of Unusable Brushes and Sleeves- If your brush or roller sleeve cannot be cleaned or reused, place it in your general waste bin. While recycling is important, bristles or roller sleeves with paint can cause issues at recycling facilities, so it's best to dispose of them correctly.​
