Sand the door to create a rough surface. Use a filler to repair any noticeable damage. Make sure the surface is dry and clean before you begin painting.
Remove any door accessories and use masking tape to cover any permanent elements.
Apply one coat of Dulux Weathershield Quick Dry Exterior Flexible Undercoat for excellent coverage and opacity, using an acrylic bristle brush.
For a gloss finish choose Dulux Weathershield Quick Dry Exterior High Gloss, a water-based product which is low odour, acrylic based and better for the environment.
Finish by applying two coats of your preferred topcoat in your chosen colour. Leave to dry for four hours before you apply the second coat.
